Meet our architects from GBD and hear their thoughts on our incredible location. When asked about The Coloradan being the last piece to the Union Station neighborhood, Kyle Andersen from GBD had this to say: “In some ways we’re just simply last from a timing perspective. But the idea that for sale homes in Union Station as being a missing piece has some merit. And being able to put the finishing touches on the neighborhood with features like our open, experiential retail and public art is really fun and exciting.”
We believe that the best homes are about comfort, functionality and quality, thus it was our mission to thoughtfully choose interior finishes and timeless details that reflect this. Simply stated, the art collection at The Coloradan is a tribute to Colorado. The majority of selected artist are Colorado residents who are fully ingrained in the day to day lifestyle of being a Coloradan. We also felt it was critical to convey the impressions and memories of Colorado from an outside perspective – allowing national and international artist to voice what our land means to them. Each piece of art tells a unique story – yet the message is a common thread throughout our community.
Union Hall is a non-institutional, non-commercial space that will serve as a true community partner to advance opportunities for emerging artists and creatives. It will also serve as a culture concierge for Denver – a launching pad to explore the myriad world-class museums, galleries and spaces that make up Denver’s vibrant arts scene. The highly visible location of the space is intentional, making art easily accessible to all. This space will become an integral part of the urban fabric of downtown Denver.
