Building Construction Update, January 2018

On Tuesday, January 9th The Coloradan officially topped out the 19th floor. With this major milestone, we remain on track to open 4th quarter of this year!

Earlier this week, we poured our last sequence of concrete on the level 19 roof. It took 212 pour days and 28,278 cubic yards (52,029 tons) of structural concrete to top out.

We started installing terra-cotta on levels 4 and 5 on the northeast end of the building.

The exterior pre-fabricated panels are being installed on level 13 and the mineral wool, Z-Girts, and terra-cotta brackets have been installed up to level 8 on the north side of the building. Here is a view taken from the rooftop of the level 4 terrace up to level 19.

The level 18 pool deck is currently being used as a lay-down area for the next few weeks. The orange capped rebar represents the location of the pool and planter walls. The views from our rooftop pool deck are outstanding!

The final stages of the MEP rough-in (laying the basic lines for mechanical, electrical, and plumbing) on level 4 are underway and drywall is anticipated to start this month. We are currently doing MEP rough-in up to level 7 and stud layout up to level 10.

The stairwells are set up all the way up to level 19 and ready for concrete. Installation work for elevators 6 and 7 has also begun.

Standing high above Union Station, we can really appreciate all of the amazing views from all the Residences showcasing the city around us.
