This month marks our two year anniversary since we broke ground at The Coloradan. It’s truly incredible to see where we are today in construction. Here are some pictures and details of our most recent progress.
The terra-cotta and metal panel rain screen is installed from levels 4 to 19. We are now focusing on the installation of the Z-grits from level 1 to 4. The skip hoist (aka temporary elevator) is being dismantled this week and the team will now be utilizing some of elevators and stairs inside the building.
We’re installing the garage screening and canopies at the retail storefronts. Yellow glass is being installed above the main entrances on Wewatta and the 17th Street plaza.
Levels 4-7 are all moving forward with different levels of interior inspections. We’re installing wood flooring on levels 12-13, installing tile on levels 14-16, painting on levels 17-18, and hanging drywall on levels 18-19. Here’s a picture of the wood floor installation finishing up on level 11.
We’re installing the pool equipment and seven foot tall glass panels along the perimeter of the pool deck on level 18. The views of the City and mountains from the pool deck are amazing!
The level 1 retail circulation is really taking shape. The concrete floors have been polished and are now protected with heavy paper. We have drywalled a number of the retail tenant demising walls and are ready to install the DIRTT walls (modular glass walls). Four of the retail spaces have been turned over to tenants for their buildout and more spaces will be turned over in September.
